About The Watch Room
Perched on the cliff top at Easton Bavents, The Watch Room has been thoughtfully designed to celebrate one of Britain’s most remarkable stretches of coastline. Inspired by the surrounding landscape, it offers uninterrupted sea views and a peaceful setting where guests can experience the beauty of the Suffolk coast in every season.
Large areas of glazing flood the interiors with natural light while framing expansive views across the North Sea and surrounding countryside. Cedar shingles allow the building to blend naturally into its coastal setting, creating a contemporary retreat that sits quietly within the landscape rather than dominating it.
Sleeping up to four guests in two comfortable en-suite bedrooms, The Watch Room combines generous open-plan living with all the comforts needed for a relaxing stay. The Patio door opens onto a private deck where mornings begin with coffee overlooking the sea and evenings are spent watching spectacular sunsets and the ever-changing Suffolk skies.
Whether you’re exploring Southwold, walking along the beach, spotting marsh harriers over the marshes or simply enjoying the peace of your surroundings, The Watch Room invites you to slow down and experience the coast at its own gentle pace.
The Watch Room is more than somewhere to stay; it is a place to reconnect with nature and enjoy the beauty, tranquillity and changing rhythms of this extraordinary coastline.
